With the design director joining our team, we had the opportunity to greatly improve ourselves and the processes as the design team and designers.
Our weekly design critical meetings share what each designer has been working on individually during the past week, their tests, research and results. It’s where we transparently show everything we’re working on. It doesn’t matter how early you are in the process, whether you just have hand-drawn sketches, or whether it’s a full-blown prototype in Figma, we share work and get other people’s perspectives. When the designer finishes his presentation, within 5 minutes, other designers write their favorite points, questions, ideas and things they are not sure about on the postits in FigJam, and after 5 minutes, there is a question-and-answer session.
Things we do
Critique workshops. Every designer presents their works and answers the questions or receives feedback.
Sync meetings. Every designer gives their updates and that's more or less it.
Learning workshops. Every week, one of the designers presents something new.
In this way, we started to hold the design evaluation meetings, which we had previously held in a much shorter and verbal way, in a more organized and permanent way.
